A technician needs to redirect your home Internet connection to our Distributel network. This is standard for all of our plans. If possible, this work will be done entirely outside your home. If access is required inside your home, we will ask for permission before entering your home and are closely following Health Canada Guidelines.
As an added benefit, Home Run Internet customers will also receive the Geek Squad In-Home Set-up. A professionally trained Geek Squad Agent will ensure that your Wi-Fi modem is set-up and optimized and that all of your devices are connected and protected.
As soon as you sign up for Home Run Internet, we will immediately ship your modem. It usually takes about 3 business days to arrive. The package includes instructions to install the modem. If you prefer you can call Geek Squad, and they can walk you through the set-up, or hold off and have your Geek Squad Agent install the modem as part of your In-Home Set up.
The regular monthly cost of this plan is $85 per month plus taxes (on a 12-month commitment). There is a one-time activation fee of $30.00 and a $10.00 delivery fee for the modem.

While 24/7 tech support online and over the phone is included, sometimes you may want face to face service whether that be in a Best Buy store or in your home. Your membership means you can have these in person services at approximately 50% off, including computer or tablet set up or repairs, installing and setting up televisions, home theaters and smart home devices.

After ordering Home Run Internet, it takes a few days to setup your Geek Squad Home Membership account. If you have an immediate need to use Geek Squad services, please call us at 1-888-626-3060 and we will connect you with Geek Squad to ensure you get all the Home Membership discounts.
Once we have confirmed your Internet technician appointment, we will send you an email with the details to contact Geek Squad to arrange your In-Home Set Up. Please ensure your Geek Squad In-Home Set-up is at least 24 hours after your Internet technician appointment.
Your Geek Squad Agent will install the Wi-Fi modem and router, as well as network enhancement to ensure you have strong and consistent Wi-Fi throughout your home. The agent will also connect your connected devices. They will ensure you are fully protected by installing and setting up Internet security and data back-up software on all applicable devices.
Geek Squad Agents are trained, experienced and able to work very efficiently. The typical Home Set Up takes about an hour, even in larger more complicated homes, no more that 90 minutes.
Geek Squad will contact you the day before your appointment to confirm the time and to provide you with information regarding your In-Home Set-Up.
